There are currently two NPCs that will allow a Human character to train under them, for a price. The character will gain Stats and/or Skills in the process. The character may only train under the NPC once.
Each class, except for the last one, is a lecture. After each one, they will give you a minor EXP reward.
The final class will be an Assignment, where they will give you a quest. Reward is EXP and Stat boost, and sometimes a skill (only if the character has not learned it yet).

Ranald gives Basic Combat Classes. Upon completion of his classes, you will receive a Stat boost, and a skill (if you don't know it yet). Elves and Giants cannot take this class.

Lassar's Training
As Lassar's classes are cheaper than buying the spellbook for the spells, and they reward Intelligence, it is recommended that beginner magicians choose this method to attain their spells. Elves and Giants can take these classes. You can take Lassar's classes once per character at any time in the game even if you know all three spells already (discounts apply see first class of each chapter).
Below is a guide on each class divided into Chapters (at the start of each new chapter a tuition fee is required). Below the guide for every class is a hidden dialogue. Please note that the dialogue is exactly what Lassar will say in each class. These dialogues are spoilers and can be referred to later if needed.
Basic Sorcery Chapter One

- It doesn't matter which one you choose. Lassar will still continue the class after commenting on your reason.
